The benefits of having CCTV installed are far greater now with user friendly Apps for each system displaying your live CCTV on a laptop, PC, tablet or mobile device, anywhere in the world that has Internet access.
Here at StaySafe CCTV, the minimum lens we use for domestic installations is now 1080p resolution. Standard HD is only 720p resolution, so the images from our cameras are much more sharper. Cameras as high as 8mp 4K
are also available, depending on your budget.
We tend to use dome cameras on most domestic installations because they don’t spoil the aesthetics of your house. Each camera blends into the background.
We now supply cameras which have a colour image at night
with an option of predefined audible warning, triggered by motion detection. This also acts as a deterrent to intruders entering onto your property.
BENEFITS OF HAVING CCTV
The other benefit of CCTV over an alarm is the fact that after the event, you can actually see the criminals on film. The first thing a police officer will ask when he comes to investigate a break-in is “Do you have any video evidence”. The DVR’s/ NVR's that we use are very straight forward when it comes to downloading the recorded footage from previous days and most will store recordings for at least 2 weeks, depending on the hard drive installed, before overwriting them.
The cameras are available in black, white or grey depending on the model.
All our cameras are a minimum of 2mp, super HD, giving a really clear live view both day and night. We also supply and installed PTZ cameras with smart tracking for larger areas. The software allows for zooming in and out on screen, and also taking a ‘snapshot’. All cabling is done with CAT5e/ CAT6e solid copper cable and the DVR/NVR can be placed anywhere in the house that is accessible. Many clients these days tend to have them stored in the loft space.
